For those who carried everything.
Salute18 takes decorated veterans on premium golf experiences and documents the stories they carry — so that what they gave is never forgotten.
A decorated veteran steps onto the first tee. Morning dew on the grass. Someone else is carrying the bag. For the first time in years — he exhales.
Our Mission
We are the caddie.
Salute18 exists to honor decorated veterans with the gratitude their service deserves, hosting them on premium golf experiences and preserving their stories, so that what they carried is never forgotten, and for one day, someone else carries the bag.
Not healing. Not a fix. A reprieve — one day where the weight is set down and carried by someone else. Veterans come to us nominated by the people who know what they have carried: their communities, their units, their families. We handle everything from there.
Veterans are nominated by their communities — never self-nominated.
The Experience
What is a Salute18 Experience?
Every detail is covered, start to finish. The veteran brings nothing but themselves.
Travel and lodging
Flights, transfers, and a room that says someone thought about this. Nothing for the veteran to arrange or pay for.

A professional club fitting
Properly fitted clubs, measured and built to their swing — most veterans have never had a set that was actually theirs.
Coaching and range time
Unhurried instruction from a professional, so the round ahead is enjoyable rather than embarrassing.
The round itself
A premium course at its best hour, a caddie carrying the bag, and no clock to beat.

Meals worth sitting down for
Long dinners where the stories come out on their own, without anyone asking for them.
Premium swag they keep
The clubs go home with them, along with the bag, the apparel, and a challenge coin.
For one day, the only thing he has to carry is a putter.
The Archive
Stories worth preserving
Short films, long-form features, and conversations — an archive that grows with every trip.
IllustrativeThe first story is being filmed.
Our first honoree takes the tee soon, and a crew will be there for all of it. Join the list and you will see it the day it is finished.
Be there when it dropsNominate
Someone you know has carried enough
Veterans do not nominate themselves. They are put forward by the people who witnessed what they carried. If that is someone in your life, tell us about them.
Partnership
Put your brand behind the bag
Sponsorship funds the trips, and the trips produce the content. Partners get authentic, high-production storytelling attached to a mission that people actually care about.
Our partners
Founding partner spots are open.
The first brands to back this will be named on every film, every trip, and this page — from the very first tee.
Partner with us
Tell us who you are and what you have in mind. This goes straight to our development lead — not into a general inbox.
Who We Are
Built by people who know what the walk back looks like
Salute18 is early, and we would rather tell you exactly where we stand than dress it up. We are a registered nonprofit with our 501(c)(3) determination pending, a working board, and a first trip in planning.
The board
Drew Scholl
Board Chair · Veteran Advocate
Founded Salute18 and chairs the board. Will step into Executive Director once the organization is funded.
Bill Hoops

Where we stand
Salute18 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with its determination pending. Until the IRS issues that determination we cannot accept tax-deductible donations, and we will not imply otherwise.
When that changes, everyone on our email list hears about it first.
